we waded through our cities.
we had flooded them.

through the twisted streets.
we hung our heads low.
hiding from the shades of grey we saw in the corners.
if we were lost, we could be found.
and here we walked safe...

we kissed. we saw through time.

one day flowers would grow.
and the cement we spat at would blow in the summer.

Have to say i love the singular but multifaceted dimensions of the poem. It is very imagist, but it has this human compassion mixed with universal sense of time, which is a mix that makes good writing in my opinion
